Virtual Therapy (Zoom)
My personal approach is active and directive but acknowledges and respects the client as his or her own expert. By acting as navigator, my clients sit firmly in the driver's seat. I am a strengths-based clinician, and I conceptualize cases through three powerful lenses: object relations, family systems, and Choice Theory. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I am a Certified Alcohol & Other Drug Counselor (CADC). My expertise lies in treating co-occurring (dual-diagnosis) disorders. I treat the client with an addiction, as well as their entire family system (partner, children, parents). I especially enjoy working with people on their relationships, as well as women’s issues. I am a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ communities. Doing this work is both an honor and a joy.
I see individuals, couples, and families, and work with adolescents, emerging adults, and adults. Curious and non-judgmental by nature, I ask a lot of questions. Why? Because the answers provide clients a genuine opportunity for both personal insight and positive change.
I am trained in Transcendental Meditation (TM) and have been practicing Bikram and Vinyasa yoga for 20 years.
